A Sicilian gold, enamel, pearl and carved coral devotional pendant.

Delicately pierced 18k gold foliate cartouche picked out in enamel and set with small freshwater pearls surrounding a carved coral statuette of a female martyr saint with a bowl (possibly St. Agatha of Catania), hung with five small coral droplets. No hallmarks. Some minor losses to the enamel. H 7.5 cm. weight 13.76 g.
