A tortoiseshell and bicolour gold piqué bonbonnière with a fine micromosaic depicting an insect.

Shallow, round box with moulded rims of transparent tortoiseshell. With a net-like design of stars and oval rings and astrgal mouldings in gold piqué. The lid inset with a micromosaic tondo (diameter c. 50 mm) depicting a many-winged insect within an astragal border. H 2 cm. Diameter 6 cm.
