An 18k white gold Padparadscha sapphire ring.

Cluster ring with a central cushion shaped old mine-cut Padparadscha sapphire of 3.98 ct (8.66 x 7.21 x 7.20 mm) surrounded by 36 brilliant-cut diamonds (in total c. 2.38 ct, H/I, vs-si). No hallmarks. Significant signs of wear. The sapphire with a chipped girdle. Ring size 48. Weight 5.23 g.
1960s, using an older sapphire.

Certificate

Test report KSB5096 of the DSEF, Idar-Oberstein dated 20th January 2021, confirms that the pink-orange stone is a natural corundum, variety Padparadscha. No evidence of heat treatment.
