An important Parisian parcel gilt travel necessaire

Oval wooden box with gilt brass mountings containing a small oval silver basin, several boxes and glass bottles, a shaving brush with screw-component, a bone beard brush, several folding knives, tweezers and an ear spoon. Box with folding handles and original lock and key engraved above with the signature "Biennais, orfèvre du premier Consul r. St. Honoré No. 119 au singe Violet". The inside of the lid inset with a cut glass mirror in an ormolu mounted frame. H of box 12; W 23; D 15 cm.
