A Victorian silver writing set

The three-sided corpus decorated with finely chased Baroque style decor. Seated allegorical figures at each corner beside relief cartouche reserves engraved with a cardinal's coat-of-arms. The upper face with three concealed ink wells with glass insets and a central six-sided plateau with six quill holders and a table bell with strapwork relief decor and a handle formed from three figures of angels. H 23 cm, weight 3,690 g.
