A Gothic chasuble cross

Linen cloth embroidered with silk and gold-wrapped threads with silk, silver and velvet appliques. Depicting Christ crucified on a branch cross with Sts. Peter and Paul at his feet, the mourning Virgin Mary and St. John, and a figure of St. James in a Gothic niche. Localised losses to some colours, for example in the face of the Virgin Mary, some minor repairs, in very good overall condition. H 120, W 60 cm.
Attributed to Rhineland, 15th C.
