With a partially legible blackened inscription on the lower edge. Engraved "N." lower right. With a resin filled breakage to the upper centre on the reverse, a chip to the lower right corner. H 11.6, W 6.6, cm
Singhalo-Portuguese or Macau, 17th / 18th C.

This work probably depicts the capture of St. Catherine of Alexandria, as the wheel with which she was tortured and which is her attribute can be seen in the right background.
