A Dutch chest of drawers

Mahogany, stained wood, boxwood and ebonised wood veneer on mahogany, ormolu mountings and iron locks. Three-drawer cabinet with fluted angles on tapering supports of square section. The two-doored upper section flanked by demi-pillars and pediment with pierced gallery. The doors with moulded surrounds carved with rosettes, floral festoons and with oval medallions inlaid with oak leaf motifs. Both sides with filled shrinkage cracks. Overall in good restored condition. H 250, W 190, D 67 cm.
Netherlands, around 1790.
