A small Triptych with the Crucifixion

Oil on panel. Central panel 30 x 19.5 cm, side panels 33 x 12 / 10.5 cm, dimensions when closed incl. frame 36.5 x 26 cm.

This small triptych was intended for private devotion as a domestic or travel altarpiece. The unknown donor family are depicted on the side wings with their family coat of arms. The male donor and his sons are depicted on the left with St. Francis, his wife with their daughters and St Barbara on the right.



The triptych is listed under number 109450 in the RKD archive and is attributed to Jacob Cornelis van Oostsanen.
