A very large Tanba tsubo, probably for tea leaves. 17th century or earlier

Of upward tapering form with four small hand-formed lugs at the shoulder, the body covered on one side with a strong olive greenish ash glaze with fine craquelure, running in large drops.
Height 48 cm
