A Sawasa shakudō and gilded tobacco box.18th century

Of flat oval shape, the shakudō lid and underside carved with temple buildings, pagoda, birds and flowering branches on a gilded, ring punched ground, the sides with foliage and flowers in the same technique. Gilding to the inside. Two hinges restored. Weight 195 g.
