A four-case lenticular inrō. Mid-19th century

Displaying a shirabyōshi dancer with a small drum in a boat underneath a willow (asazumabune) and wild geese under a full moon with its reflection in the water, in takamakie, hiramakie, a little red lacquer and kirikane on kinji, the eboshi, the face and the small drum of ivory. Signed Kajikawa and Shibayama on an inlaid mother-of-pearl tablet.
