A lacquered wood figure of a Thousand Arm Guanyin. Qing dynasty, 19th century

Seated in dhyanasana with his principal hands in anjalimudra, the remaining hands holding a variety of attributes including a sun and moon, the head adorned with a circle of five Buddha heads arranged in a circle and surmounted by a single other Amitabha head.
