The dance around the golden calf

Reverse glass painting in transparent pigments, highlighted in gold. In a later gilded frame, H 33.7, W 39.5 cm.

This finely detailed reverse glass painting follows an engraved drawing by the Augsburg painter and engraver Elias Baeck (1679 - 1747), which was published by Jeremias Wolff (1663 - 1724).
