A Victorian 14k gold black enamel and pearl memory brooch with a large banded onyx cabochon.

Disc design decorated with black enamelled cross bands alternating with three small Oriental pearls. Centrally set with a large round banded onyx cabochon (diameter 24.26 mm). Engraved "Frances Elizabeth Crewe" on the back edge and inset with a round hair inlay medallion. With brooch pin and hook for attaching to a chain. Not hallmarked. Diameter 4.0 cm, weight 27.21 cm.
