A French 18k gold diamond and ruby love pendant with attatched platinum necklace.

Designed as a bow-topped Louis XVI relief cartouche finely chased on either side, with two flying putti in a floral wreath holding a heart-shaped shield and arrow. The bow motif set with rose-cut and old-cut diamonds. The shield pavé set with 12 old-cut diamonds, a heart-shaped ruby and a surrounding strip of calibrated rubies. Suspended from a fine platinum chain. Hallmarks: French "tête de cheval" mark for gold from the provinces, fineness PT 950 (chain). The droplet lost. 5.0 x 4.0 cm. Total weight 23.88 g.
