A small Renaissance silver gilt goblet and cover

Round base supporting a short baluster-form shaft and tapering cup engraved with scrolls. The cover with corresponding decor and a figure of a soldier with a lance and shield forming the finial. H 21.5 cm, weight 194 g.
Augsburg, marks of Hans Weinold, 1585 - 1590.
