A presumably Cologne late 15th century carved wooden reliquary bust of a saint

Carved in the round. With remains of the presumably original polychromy, overpainted to the flesh tones. Bust of a female saint with her head slightly inclined, designed for a frontal viewpoint. Her long, wavy hair emerges in richly carved locks from beneath her crown to fall far down her back. The rectangular relic depository to the chest with an older covering.
Wear with minor losses. Mounted on a polygonal wooden plinth. Height 35 cm, width 33 cm (without plinth).
