A Baphuon sandstone male torso. Cambodia. 11/ early 12th century

Wearing a sampot, with a pleated pocket at the left thigh and a dagger sheath on the right; the sampot is held together at the back by a knot in the shape of butterfly wings, a wide pectoral adorns the chest. Restoration at the waist, weathered, stained. Mounted.
