A black wood three-case inro. 19th century

Carved all over with asa-no-ha and a sayagata pattern, on both sides inlaid in mother-of-pearl Chinese verses from a poem of the four seasons by Tao Yuanming (ca. 365-427). Dutch translation of the verses inside. White marbled stone ojime and black wood manju carved with an overall flower pattern and with mother-of-pearl-inlaid plum blossoms.
