An ivory two-part manjû of takaramono. Mid-19th century

Carved on both sides in sunken relief with various takaramono on a ground of small fundô and shippô within a lobed reserve, on top with kakure-mino and kakure-gasa, a Chinese-style fan, Daikoku’s mallet and a key, on the reverse a large kanebukuro, an open scroll and tama on a high table.
