Of quadrangular form, the sides with incised scrolling ornament within hatched borders, one side with oval mask in high relief, loop handle, old label on the inside inscribed: Sacrificial Bell (Human sacrifices). From Benin City. Captured in Benin Expedition 1897., fine dark greenish patina.
