A large ivory peg manjû of a head and masks. Late 19th century

Carved to the front with a grotesque head with mouth wide open and tongue hanging out, the peg carved with the laughing face of Hotei, on the reverse the masks of Inari, Okame, an old man, Hannya, and a screaming man, all arranged in a circle.
