42.5 x 32.3 cm. Album with 24 laid down prints (23 sumizuri-e, one in colour) with images of foreign ships, maps, foreigners, weaponry and strategic overviews. Prints of various sizes, all unsigned. Mostly Meiji era. In Chinese linen-covered wraparound case. With the original front and back covers, with title slip ‘Kurofunewatashi .. no sumizuri chô’, 24shu. Most prints rubbed, soiled, creased, some with stains and with damages, nevertheless overall fairly well preserved
