An ivory netsuke of a bearded Chinnan Sennin. 19th century

Standing in balance on both feet, the head turned to the right, the sennin holds an alms bowl, from which emerges a dragon, which winds around the sennin’s shoulders and rests its head on the sennin’s raised hand.
