An unusual kagamibuta of Hotei. Mid-19th century

The brass plate, possibly the top of a kashira, decorated in iro-e takazôgan with Hotei tying up two jewels in a furoshiki. The “bowl” consists of a diagonally cut cross section of a narwhal tooth.
