Stone, remains of polychromy, probably France, 1st half 16th C. (GR 2.060a)
Wear with minor losses. 102 x 80 x 24 cm.

A stone figure of Saint George and the dragon, 1st half 16th century, probably France. Free-standing, the reverse flattened. With remains of an older polychromy. The mighty dragon is shown lain on its back on a rectangular plinth. To the right of it, the armoured saint George is depicted riding a rearing horse and plunging his lance into the dragon's gaping maw.
