Musical automaton "Negre jouant de la mandoline"

Wind-up mechanism, attached original key and locking button. Leather covered wooden head with glass eyes, fur, textile, embroidery and painted wood. The right arm, the head and the eyelids move to the music. Mounted to a modern plinth. Soiled, the textile partially worn, two scratches to the forehead. H 65 cm.
