A gilt-bronze figure of Amitayus. Tibet. 16th/17th century

A Tibetan gilt-bronze figure of Amitayus, seated in vajrasana on a lotus throne, his hands resting in dhyanamudra and supporting a vase containing the elixir of long life in his lap and dressed in a sanghati. Some turquoise inlays to the vase missing or replaced. Remains of blue colour to the hair. The base sealed, gilded and incised with a double-vajra. 16th/17th century.
