A turquoise-glazed Cizhou-type meiping. Ming dynasty (1368-1644)

A turquoise-glazed Cizhou-type meiping vase with narrow neck and sides which taper towards a splayed foot, painted in underglaze iron-black on a cream slip with a scrolling peony border between further borders all set under a transparent crazed turquoise glaze over a brownish stoneware body, base unglazed. Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
