A large wood and lacquer bento bako on a stand, the tiered boxes displaying an overall design of plum blossom branches, chrysanthemums, orchids and bamboo in makie, green lacquer and with tiny inlays of mother-of-pearl on a stippled black ground in the manner of sabiji. Red lacquer to all insides. A second lid with a mon in makie. 20th century.
