A wood and lacquer suzuribako, on the lid in a sunken reserve a pair of pheasants on a tree trunk underneath plum blossom branches in takamakie, red and black lacquer and gold foil (partly repaired), inside a black lacquer ground with hirameji, on the reverse of the lid three minogame in makie and goldfoil, water dropper of silvery metal, the suzuri missing. Around 1900.
