A Flemish ebony cabinet inset with painted panels attributed to Frans III Francken.

Ebony, painted wood, tortoiseshell, silver and oil paint on oak. A highly unusual cabinet painted with 12 mythological scenes after Ovid to the eight drawers, central door, central drawer and the interiors of the two front doors. Restored; in very good, original condition.
Antwerp, 1640s.
