A four-case inrô. Second half 19th century

A four-case inrô with Raiko seated and sleeping on one side and Shôka, the daughter of Yôyûki, descending on clouds to bring a bow and arrows to the worthiest, i.e. Raiko, the figures inlaid in mixed metals on a kinji ground with clouds, pine and veranda in takamakie, hiramakie and kirikane. Signed Kashôsai and Nobukatsu with kaô on an inlaid gold tablet. Nashiji to the inside. Second half 19th century. Small amber-coloured ojime. Kagamibuta, the plate of shibuichi with a samurai in mixed metal relief, the bowl of kinji.
Height 9.5 cm
