A three-case kiri wood inrô with a mother-of-pearl-lined roundel to each side, one with a sleeping Hotei in makie on a golden ground with hirame, the other with bamboo and a plum blossom branch in sumie-togidashi on kinji, sealed ...sai. The wood with transparent lacquer to the outside and inside. 19th century. Amber-coloured ojime. Ivory netsuke of a Hotei seated in his bag.
