A painting by an anonymous artist of the Tosa school with a scene from chapter 34 (Wakana) of the Genji Monogatari showing Kashiwagi and his brothers playing kemari, while a cat runs away after opening a bamboo curtain revealing Onna San no Miya. Ink, colours, gold and gofun on paper. Matted, framed and glazed. 17th/18th century.
