A black lacquered zushi. Inside Benten seated in meditation on a double lotus above a rock surrounded by waves, in her eight hands attributes, some of them missing, wood with pigment and gold, the jewellery and attributes of metal, the inside of the zushi gilded, the doors painted with the15 dôji, Bishamonten and Daikoku, the outside lacquered black, with sparse bronze fittings. 18th/19th century.
