A lacquered and gilded bronze figure of Milefo, also called Budai, seated at ease on a cushion-like base with an engraved pattern of interlocking circles, with one knee raised, holding a strand of prayer beads in one hand and grabbing his bag with auspicious objects with the other hand, the robe opens to reveal his full belly while six small frolicking boys clamber around him. Late Ming dynasty.
