An Ayutthaya bronze head of a Buddha with a serene expression with a gentle smile, the eyes lowered in meditation, the ridge of the arched eyebrows continuing into the middle ridge of the slender nose, the tight curls covering the head and the prominent ushnisha. Remains of mother-of-pearl to the eyes. Crusty green patina. Damage to the back of the head. 15th century. Base.
