A moulded blanc-de-Chine figure of a Dutchman sitting upright, wearing a buttoned jerkin and a small flat-brimmed hat, riding the mythical qilin, a muscular creature with a stag’s body with flaming haunches, a bushy tail and a dragon-like head. Rims of the hat restored. Dehua. 18th century.
