A nashiji lacquer gin'yoban, one of the utensils for the incense ceremony, used to hold the gin'yo and incense with ten mother-of-pearl supports in form of kiku-mon, and a fitted box beneath containing wooden fuda (guessing slips or tallies), decorated with plants in gold, each in its own detachable compartment. To the sides plum blossoms in hiramakie and gold foil. Minor traces of usage and one leg restuck. Late 19th century.
