A bamboo and lacquer kiseruzutsu. Second half 19th century

A bamboo and lacquer kiseruzutsu of otoshi-zutsu-type in shape of a brown bamboo stalk with two thin twigs, the foliage inlaid with green-stained bone, lead-coloured and golden lacquer, a plum blossom in sukashi, lined with tortoise shell, two small silver cherry blossoms, the wormholes filled with bone and horn, the rim lined with horn, the base of black wood. A few worm-eaten parts and small restoration. Second half 19th century.
