A copper-coloured bronze spittoon (zhadou) of octagonal section with a stepped foot, stepped shoulder and a flaring flower-shaped neck decorated with the emblems of the Eight Immortals alternating with shou characters in fine inlay of silver, paktong and niello. The foot probably restored and lined with brass. 18th century.
