An almost cylindrical Kyoto Satsuma vase with a tiny neck painted in enamels and gold with numerous persons viewing cherry blossoms in a landscape with Mount Fuji in the background. Marked at the base: Dai Nihon Kyoto tôjiki gôshi kaisha Ryôzan. Around 1900.

The mark refers to the Yasuda Kyoto Ceramic Joint Stock Co., in Shirakawa suji, Sanjo sagaru in Kyoto and displays the Yasuda trade mark. Ryôzan (=Nakamura Tatsunosuke) was the best painter of this company. He studied under Nishimura Zengorô.
