The sardonyx cameo finely carved with a portrait of a Renaissance lady, presumably representing Maria de Medici as Queen of France. The frame set with 60 rose-cut diamonds and suspending a pearl (diameter 5.5 mm). The reverse glazed. Can be worn as a pendant, the brooch mountings removable. Unidentified maker's mark. Total H 6 cm. Weight 25.8 cm.
