An interior gilt silver beaker

An interior gilt silver beaker. With depictions of Spes, Fides and Caritas, a later armorial engraving and inscription "Siemon Joseph Pels 1886". No assay mark, maker's mark "HH" possibly Johan Hoendricks of Groningen, ca. 1620. H 11 cm, weight 109 g.

Simon Joseph Pels (born 1838) came from an old family of Emden merchants.
