A large bowl by Maeda Masahiro of conical shape with a blossom-shaped rim, the thin body covered with silver leaves reserved from a thin green-yellow glaze. Signed Masa in gold at the base. Tokyo. Late 20th century.
Height 20.5 cm; diameter 36.1 cm

Maeda Masahiro (born 1948) specialized in iroe kinginsai (painted gold and silver colour decoration). His studio is presently in Roppongi, Tokyo.
