An iron tsuba. 18th century

An iron tsuba of mokkô shape with Kanzan pointing to the moon (on the reverse) and Jittoku with a broom, in a rivulet the reflection of the moon, on a hammered ground, details of copper, gold and silver. Signed Mitsutoshi (= Yatabe Mitsutoshi, 1697-1768). 18th century. Wooden box with silk cushion.
