Two South Chinese laquered and gilded wood panels of two Buddhas. Both seated in meditation on a lotus above a richly carved base, a) with a silvered nimbus (moon) and with two Chinese characters fa and zhui to the pegs, and b) with gilt nimbus (sun), two characters chun(?) and ji to the pegs. A few cracks. 18th/19th century. (2)

The two figures possibly represent the attendants to Bhaishajyaguru (chin. Yaoshi fo).
