A daishô, katana blade length 69.3 cm, shinogi zukuri, hamon: kawazuko choji, komaru boshi, itame hada, nakago: mumei, ubu, two mekugi ana, silver plated habaki. Good state of polish.
Koshirae of the katana: iron tsuba with landscape in low relief, signed Chôshu Hagi jû Tomofusa saku, iron fuchi-kashira with leaves on brushwood with gold and silver nunome, menuki: gilt-copper shishi, white binding over black-lacquered same, saya: same-nuri.
Wakizashi blade length 52 cm, shinogi zukuri, suguha hamon, nakago: ubu, mei: Hizen no Kuni jû Tadayoshi, silver-plated habaki. Rubbed.

Koshirae of the wakizashi: iron tsuba with landscape in flat relief, signed Chôshu Hagi jû Tomotsugu saku, fuchi-kashira: with heron and reed in coloured inlay on shakudô ishime, shakudô kozuka with shishi on ishime in Mino-Gotô style, menuki of copper gilt shishi, white binding over black-lacquered same, saya: same-nuri. 19th century.
